5 to 6 Year Old Classes
How does a 5 year old learn to play an instrument? At this age, music is learned as a language. The piano/keyboard is the instrument of choice for internalizing the sounds and patterns of music, through the child's natural tactile tendency to interact with the keys. Piano Discovery is a 12 week, get-acquainted time with the keyboard, in a fun, story like, fast-paced class. Each child plays on their own keyboard in the class. The Kids move around the stations of the room - keyboards, teacher's piano and the white magnet-board - where they experience singing, playing the keys, circle games and notes pre-reading games. Tuition is paid monthly, and the class continues weekly until the end of the 12 weeks. With this primer class under their belts, they will be ready for the older 6-8 year old classes which start 3 times a year. The course includes a book and a CD. Some type of piano or small electronic keyboard is recommended for at home playing.
Classes meets once per week for 45 minutes. The summer Session runs 12 weeks Class size is limited to 8 children and their parents.
Tuition
- 1st Child: $280 which covers registration, materials and tuition for the entire session. Tuition is divided and paid monthly.
- Concurrently Enrolled Siblings: $195 (There is a substantial discount for concurrently enrolled siblings). This cost includes registration, materials and tuition for the entire session. Tuition is divided and paid monthly.

6 to 8 Year Old Classes
Everyone loves adventure. Imagine your child enjoying a positive and fun experience exploring the keys! This rewarding and motivating class is designed to bring the music out of your child as they discover the mysteries and rewards of learning an instrument. Through fast paced activities and positive rewards, you will see immediate positive results - and smiles. We will guide your child through the basics of Keyboarding with a time-tested curriculum. For 35 years, Wagner's has developed teaching techniques which are uniquely motivating. Reading, writing, ear-training, singing, ensemble playing, timing, expressiveness and creativity are only a few of the areas of musicianship your child will be introduced to. Piano is not only known to be the best instrument for a musical beginning, but also as a life long tool for understanding and expressing music over a lifetime. Children sit at their own "class pianos." Children also learn values that come out of the discipline of practice (10-15 minutes a day, 5 days a week) as well as the value of meaningful rewards for a job well done. As a family based program, we support the family and social values you are teaching at home.
Class meets once per week for 45 minutes. Classes are on-going on a month-to-month basis. Class size is limited to 8 children and their parents.

- Concurrently Enrolled Siblings: Tuition is $55 per month and One-Time $30 Registration Fee which covers cost of initial materials. The first month will be prorated for 2 weeks.

9 to 12 Year Old Classes

As the children grow to become teenagers, Wagner's allows for the learning of contemporary styles and fun songs kids can be proud to share with their friends. We have a library of Rock, Jazz, Boogie and Blues songs they will love to explore. We also introduce them to and utilize the Guitar, Bass, Drums and Synthesizer as they gain skills on the piano. The piano gives the basis for these and all other musical instruments. Our experience shows that this gift of music you parents give your children will become an integral part of their lives in the future, and they will thank you for it over and over again.

Reading, writing, ear-training, ensemble playing, timing, expressiveness and creativity are only a few of the areas of musicianship you will be introduced to. Piano is not only known to be the best instrument for a musical beginning, but also as a life long tool for understanding and expressing music. You will sit at your own "class piano." You will be given a reasonable amount of material so practicing will be possible in your busy schedule (10-15 minutes a day, 5 days a week) As a family based program, we support the family and social values you are teaching at home.
Class meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month for 45 minutes. Classes are on-going on a month-to-month basis. Class size is limited to 8 adults.
